Appointment booking specialist OneDoc and Compassana have been working together for many months already. Our common goal is to accelerate digitalisation for outpatient healthcare providers. Time for an interim summary from Arthur Germain, CEO of OneDoc.

OneDoc and Compassana provide efficient and convenient digital tools for healthcare providers and patients who want to simplify their healthcare.
How do service providers benefit from the partnership today?
On the one hand, OneDoc is the leading booking platform for medical appointments in Switzerland with 9,500 registered healthcare providers. Its aim is to simplify the appointment booking process for both patients and practices.
On the other hand, Compassana helps patients prepare for their appointments: with an up-to-date medication list in the app, doctors can see all relevant information at a glance during consultations. This helps to reduce the number of duplicate prescriptions – a use case that has already been implemented in Medbase Group practices.
As of April 2025, in addition to the onedoc.ch website, patients can now also book their appointments in the Compassana app, thanks to a strong technical integration between the two services.
And that is just the beginning. How should digitalisation continue?
Healthcare in Switzerland is still lagging behind in terms of digitalisation, and there is a huge potential to use technology to better serve healthcare providers and patients, ultimately reducing associated costs.
We are exploring many new common use cases, such as
- further automation of practice processes and patient requests
- increasingly managing patients based on their insurance models to avoid costly churn
- displaying integrated information on the individual insurance model during treatment
We believe that integration and interoperability between players is the only way to efficiently advance the healthcare ecosystem forward in Switzerland.
How has the partnership between OneDoc and Compassana developed?
OneDoc and Compassana have complementary solutions that pave the way for efficient joint growth. As a general rule, we always try to minimise unnecessary complexity and respond to new user requirements in an agile way. We also share an important principle: Data is strictly confidential and is never shared without the user’s consent. For example, OneDoc has implemented an opt-in/opt-out system: Healthcare providers can decide at any time whether they want to allow booking by Compassana. It goes without saying that patient data is never shared.
