We have added a new section entitled “6.9.4 Notifications regarding the retrieval of medical information”.

If health care professionals use Compassana to provide you with medical information related to your treatment for retrieval, they are responsible for the content of the medical information provided. We process your personal data as a processor on behalf of the respective health care professional or facility.

If you do not yet have a Compassana user account, we will use your e-mail address and mobile phone number to identify you and notify you that a health care professional has provided you with medical information for retrieval. You can view the medical information itself in encrypted form only via the Compassana app.

We use this data to notify you about information that has been made available, to enable you to retrieve it securely via the Compassana app, and to be able to track these processes. Any medical information that has not been retrieved will be automatically deleted within six months of the initial notification.

If you no longer wish to receive e-mails notifying you of medical information that has been made available, you can contact the responsible health care professional or us.

You can also find the updated information here.
