Two smartphones display a German app for symptom checking. The left screen shows a stethoscope icon and information about the check. The right screen lists possible causes for the symptoms, including acute bronchitis and unspecified causes.

The Compassana app’s symptom checker can help you to quickly and easily plan what to do next in the event of urgent medical concerns.

People often notice symptoms when medical centres are closed, such as in the evening, at the weekend or after a hard day. And then the question is: is it urgent? Do you need medical assistance or can you just wait and see how things develop? This is exactly the point at which the symptom check comes into play – simply open it, answer the questions, and get an initial assessment straight away.

Ada Health’s AI-based symptom check works like a digital medical assistant:

  • It will ask you questions about your symptoms and any relevant factors contributing to them.
  • It takes into account any personal risks and existing medical conditions.
  • It will indicate potential causes based on the information you provide.
  • It provides clear and comprehensible information on the symptoms identified.
  • And the most important thing is: It will tell you if and when you should seek medical assistance.

This means you will always have an overview – even outside normal practice hours. Any symptom checks you have carried out will be stored securely in your Compassana app. If you wish, you can share them with your doctor directly and obtain prompt, informed advice.

The symptom check can be used by all Compassana users who have registered via Helsana SSO, Groupe Mutuel SSO or by e-mail.

But remember: the symptom check is not a substitute for a medical examination – it just gives you some initial guidance so you can make the right decision regarding your health more quickly.
