However, aside from the features mentioned above, the app can also be used by individuals who simply register using their personal e-mail address and do not have basic insurance with Groupe Mutuel, Helsana or SWICA.

All digital systems are vulnerable to malicious attacks by individual or organised cybercriminals (advanced persistent threats). Bluespace Ventures AG, the company behind Compassana, has put extensive precautions in place for Compassana with a view to rendering such attacks impossible or, in a worst-case scenario, to fend them off quickly.

Press release: Compassana and Well to merge, creating Switzerland’s largest digital healthcare platform

Switzerland’s leading digital health platforms, Compassana and Well, are joining forces to form Compassana-Well AG. A shared digital platform will bring together medical information for patients in a single, easily accessible space. The solution will connect the various stakeholders and provide access to the electronic health record (E GD). Existing services for patients, hospitals, physician networks, pharmacies and health insurers will continue to be provided. The project is backed by eleven partners. These include hospitals, healthcare providers, and leading health insurers, which together provide services to around 70 per cent of people insured in Switzerland.
