Efficient document management that complies with data protection regulations – thanks to the Compassana app: Nowadays, an efficient and, most importantly, secure digital document management system is essential. But how does the document storage feature in the Compassana app work?

Upload and store documents easily
The Compassana app enables you to upload documents directly from your smartphone. It also includes the option to scan documents or add links. It doesn't matter what the file format is – PDFs, images or links – the app supports all of the most important ones. Once uploaded, your data is stored securely so that you can access it wherever you are and whenever you need it.

Organisation
The app makes it possible for you to organise your data and documents in different folders. Here are a few examples of what you can store in the different folders:

  • Transfers
  • Test results
  • Vaccines
  • Other documents

You will automatically be offered a selection of categories to choose from whenever you save documents. Your information will then be placed in the folders specified. We recommend that you only store the most important information at the beginning, for example, your patient decree (living will), your allergy card and your most recent reports from specialists and hospital, together with any laboratory results. As time goes on, you can save every report you receive via the secure messaging feature in the app.

Sharing and cooperation
One of the main advantages of the Compassana app is that it allows you to share documents with medical professionals. You can grant medical practices access to your documents.  You are always in control of who can view and download the documents for technical and medical purposes. If needed, you can revoke this access in a matter of seconds. Sharing this information helps to ensure that you receive safe, high-quality treatment because it forms the basis for it. It also saves costs that would otherwise be incurred by duplicate examinations and tests. In this blog article, we explain why it is important for you as a patient to keep this data up to date.

So the upshot is: the Compassana app makes it much easier to store and manage your documents. What's more, by using Compassana, you are doing your part in making sure that you receive safe medical care and treatment.
